The GIB series: Air-cooled medium pressure booster compressors for the compression of air, nitrogen, helium and argon – for continuous operation in industrial applications
Fully automatic compressor control: B-CONTROL II
Optimum free air delivery rates for your application: For the compression of air, nitrogen, helium and argon
Compressor blocks in the BK 23 – BK 52 series: For uniform absorption of the internal gas forces
Low installation and maintenance costs: An important benefit of air-cooled systems
Powerful air cooling system: For compressor units with drive power ratings up to 110 kW
The air-cooled booster compressors in the GIB series by BAUER KOMPRESSOREN are characterised by their crankcase, which is pressure-resistant up to 16 bar.
A powerful air cooling system with generously dimensioned coolers combined with cylinders with extensive ribbing can be relied upon for best possible cooling of each individual compressor stage.
As cost-effective and durable system solutions for heavy-duty applications, these multi-stage boosters offer a wide and varied range of options: as a booster compressor of air from a compressed air supply system, as a nitrogen compressor of inert gases from generators or storage bundles, or as gas compressors for the compression of methane from pipelines or biogas directly from the treatment system.
In line with your individual needs and industrial requirements, BAUER KOMPRESSOREN can also provide you with tailor-made turnkey system solutions.
All the information you need at your fingertips!
Air cooling is part of external cooling. It directly discharges the compressor heat from all locations where heat is critical.
Air-cooled compressors are ideal for mobile or standalone applications. Thanks to the effective dimensioning of air cooling equipment, BAUER KOMPRESSOREN is able to offer air-cooled compressor units with drive power ratings up to 110 kW in proven standard design format.
The air-cooled series is characterised by its crankcase, which is pressure-resistant up to 16 bar. This makes compression to the required final pressure possible without losses. Read more
Customer-specific paint finishes in other colours or special composition paints (conforming to corrosivity category C5M, for example) are available alongside the standard BAUER paint finishes.
Explosion protection conforming to ATEX guidelines
Compressor units by BAUER KOMPRESSOREN can be supplied with explosion protection and conforming to ATEX directives.
At and above motor power ratings of 75 kW and in conjunction with the B-CONTROL II, a soft starter to protect the unit during starting and effectively reduce starting current is used as standard. The technical alternative is soft staring with a frequency inverter. Read more
Intake pressure reduction
Intake pressure reduction ensures that the compressor takes in the gas at the appropriate pressure. Depending on the prevailing gas pressure and the intake pressure required, 1-stage or 2-stage intake pressure reducers are used. Integrated safety valves and pressure monitoring provide an effective means of ensuring that the permissible intake pressure is not exceeded or undershot.
Intake buffer vessel
To effectively prevent pulsations in the intake area, an intake buffer vessel is installed between the compressor and the upstream gas supply networks and/or control equipment. Read more
60-litre condensate vessel
The generous 60 l condensate collection system provides a central collection point for the condensate produced during the compression process inside the compressor. Read more
Condensate vessel (noble gases)
During the compression of helium and argon, the gas released with the condensate is fed into the condensate vessel. Read more
