Running a Used BAUER Compressor

Check the compressor's logbook. It should list:

  • Compressor's operating hours
  • Date of the last service
  • Location where the compressor was last operated
  • Date of last filter change
  • Date of last oil change
  • Repairs

Check the oil level in the compressor and four-stroke motor.

Check the components:

  • Screw connections
  • Adapters
  • Air intake and filters
  • Spare parts (filter cartridge, intake filter, O-rings, spare valve plates, spare spark plugs, hoses, belt, tools, spare oil)
  • Filling hose (date of inspection?)
  • Operating manual
  • Maintenance and servicing manual
  • Spare parts list

Check safety valves when performing a test run
